The Perfect Martini – at home

To call this martini is unfair to Alessandro Palazzi of the Dukes Bar in London. If you consider The Perfect Martini in its natural environment yourself to be a connoisseur of the martini and are ever in London, you simply must go to the Dukes and try it. At current exchange rates, it probably costs $50/glass, but it’s worth at least that.

Elephant at the waterhole

We were on our last game drive in early November at Kwandwe Private Game Reserve, South Africa, when we came upon this male elephant. The elephant, took a drink, struck a pose and ambled on his way.
