| Stainless Steel Screws, bolts or any kind of joinery | From McMaster-Carr | We like to think of the Trailer as a boat on wheels. Any two dissimilar metals are going to be subject to corrosion and you are just less likely to have problems with this if you use stainless steel joinery. But it’s expensive. So that is where McMaster-Carr comes in. We have saved thousands in time, materials and frustration in buying good quality screws and bolts from this online dealer. I recommend them. |
| Electric knife

Goodwill or St. Vincent de Paul or any thrift shop. | Remember that crazy, buzzing knife that your Aunt Lucinda used to hand to Uncle Earl on Easter to cut the ham with? Yep, that one. Turns out, nothing and I do mean nothing is better or cheaper to use for cutting foam. I got mine at our locate Goodwill but you can find them for $1.99 anywhere. Pick one up. You’ll use it to cut anything that is remotely foam-like. |
| Zip Ties

OSH, Target, Lowes, wherever… | It may sound odd, but you could seriously put a house togehter with Zipties. Right now, we have the rear hatch on our trailer held on with zip ties and a jury-rigged exhaust fan experiment zip tied in that same hatch. We have lots of colors, I like orange and pink but Chris likes black, and we use them everywhere. Zip ties, you’re new best friend. |
| Sliver Duct Tape | OSH, Target, Lowes, wherever… | This may seem like a pretty obvious one for a silver trailer, but you would be surprised at how many people head out on a trip without duct tape. It boggles the mind. |
